To capture the complex labor processes, the unique character of the land of Cognac, we used both traditional video and LIDAR to capture each step and moment of the production of VSOP cognac. Working together with Active Theory, we storyboarded this process, considering not just a linear narrative, but how people might be able to engage with this labor, to understand time, to work on the Z axis to go into the processes themselves. This immersive web platform used point clouds as its inspiration to unpack and explore the rich traditions of work and taste.
