Installation and Site Specific Plant Systems for The Venice Biennial of Architecture 2025
The Global Urban Garden Network (GUGN) is a participatory design network that connects and fosters the growth of urban gardens around the world. GUGN asks what living communities need, and co-creates Nature-based Solutions to transform grey cities to green. GUGN has launched the world’s first live-streaming garden and plant-music platform. Each live-stream features gardens growing and Epiphytic Music Systems, enabling plants to generate ever-changing, beneficial frequencies and patterns, creating a virtuous cycle of growth for all.
GUGN was initiated by A-01 (Costa Rica / Netherlands), Make_Good_Design (NYC and LA) and NoNo Studio (LA, NYC & CDMX) to collaborate and co-create nature-based solutions including built environments, experience designs, systems and objects that help humans and other species thrive.
To help grow your garden, GUGN has created a series of plantable seed-postcards, where plants share their feelings and ideas. Mail a seed-postcard to another gardener, or plant it yourself, and share gardens with the world.
