Ridesharing App and Platform
Co-Founder, Experience Design, Strategy
With some partners, I co-founded a startup carpooling platform for Mexico city, Aventon.com. Our goal was to create ride-sharing for developing nations. There, by collaborating with Pedro Reyes and working out of Fernando Romero's FRE-E office, I designed with and supervised a local and international team to create hyper-secure social software system for people to share rides. The system went live and had 5000 beta users, and was a great chance to learn strategy as well as user testing methods, interface design and project supervision. We paired up with Ibero University to gain real users testing as soon as possible, and worked with their administration to create real benefits, such as parking incentives, for riders.
In order to provide solid data, we formed an alliance with Garmin to acquire street level accuracy, which google maps and open street maps still do not have in Mexico City.
In addition, this project was invited to present as part of the Festival of Ideas for Audi Mobility and the City through the Storefront for Art and Architecture, New York.
